Chrysostomos Kritiotis

Managing Director, Logicom Solutions

Chrysostomos Kritiotis is the Managing Director of Logicom Solutions, a company that provides end-to-end technology solutions and services spanning from strategic ideation and crafting of a digital vision to supporting organizations realize value through the right execution and implementation of technology projects. He joined Logicom Solutions in 2018 to help with the set-up of the digital advisory practice of the company, focusing on providing a complete set of services around Digital Transformation, Analytics and Cybersecurity. Previously, he served as the Country Lead for SAS in Cyprus and the Financial Services Lead for Bulgaria and Greece. Chrysostomos started his career in Citibank as a Risk Analyst and then moved to KPMG where he worked for the Financial Risk Management Department of the Firm. He holds a BA in Mathematics and Statistics from Macalester College in the US and an MSc in Operational Research from LSE in the UK.

 

Christodoulos Patsalides

Governor of Central Bank of Cyprus

Christodoulos Patsalides is a holder of a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics. He worked at the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) and then at Bank of Cyprus, where he reached the position of First Deputy CEO. He also served as Chairman of the Board of the Association of Cyprus Banks and of Artemis Credit Bureau. In October 2020 he exited Bank of Cyprus and provided advisory services. In March 2023 he was appointed as Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs. Since 11 April 2024, he is the CBC Governor and a member of the Governing Council of the ECB.

Panicos Nicolaou

CEO, Bank of Cyprus

Panicos Nicolaou is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Bank of Cyprus since September 1, 2019. He joined the Bank in January 2001 and started his career serving at various positions, mainly in the Corporate and Credit Risk departments. He was the Manager in the Restructuring and Recoveries Division from April 2014 until June 2016.  From June 2016 until August 2019, he served as Director of Corporate Banking Division. He holds a diploma (5-year degree) in Mechanical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (Metsovio Polytechnic) in Greece, and an MSc in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the USA. He also holds a BSc in Financial Services/ACIB from the School of Management, UMIST in the UK. Panicos is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Cyprus Banks (ACB), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Employers’ Association of Cyprus Banks, and Board member and member of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB). He is also Board member of European Banking Federation (EBF).

 

Michalis Louis

Executive Board Member / CEO, Eurobank

Michalis Louis holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of West London and an M.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics. He has also completed executive banking programs at INSEAD and London Business School. He began his career in 1987 at the Cyprus Popular Bank Group, holding senior managerial roles and serving on the boards of several subsidiaries. From 1989 to 1991, he worked in New York with HSBC/Marine Midland Bank in Corporate Finance. In 2004, he became Group General Manager and Executive Director of International Operations at Cyprus Popular Bank. In 2007, he became CEO of Eurobank Cyprus Ltd. In 2014, he was appointed Head of International Activities at Eurobank Group and served on its Executive Board, overseeing international operations and subsidiary boards. On 18 September 2024, he was appointed CEO of Hellenic Bank. Following the 2025 merger with Eurobank Cyprus Ltd., he continues as CEO of the combined entity, Eurobank Limited.

Miltos Michaelas

CEO, Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd

Miltos Michaelas is the Managing Director of Alpha Bank Cyprus and an Executive Member of the Bank’s Board of Directors since June 2023. He graduated from Aston University, BSc Management and Computer Science and also holds an MBA in Financial Studies from Nottingham University. He is a Chartered Director, a title awarded by the Institute of Directors (UK), and was also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He has served in a number of executive positions and on the boards of directors of banking institutions in different countries. He has held senior roles in Wholesale Banking and Financial Services from 1992 to 2001, when he was appointed General Manager of Laiki Bank (Australia) Ltd (since renamed to Bank of Sydney). In 2006, he was assigned the role of General Manager of International and Financial Services at Laiki Bank in Cyprus. From 2013 to 2016 he served at Bank of Cyprus as the Director of International Operations. In 2016, he returned to Bank of Sydney in Australia where he held the position of CEO until his move to Alpha Bank Cyprus.

George Agioutantis

Mr. Agioutantis (George) is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive member of the BoD of National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd since March 2023. Prior to his current role he has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board member of NBG Bank Malta Ltd, as well as the Chairman of the Board of NBG (Malta) Holdings Ltd, whilst before he held the role of Head of Business Strategy & Corporate Development at National Bank of Greece since 2014. Mr. Agioutantis started his career in 1995 in New York (USA) in investment banking/structured finance with bulge-bracket firms (UBS, Citibank) and upon his return in Greece spent 12+ years in financial services advisory / consulting primarily working at Big-4 firms (EY, Arthur Andersen) and an additional 5+ years in commercial leadership positions with FinTech companies covering the EMEA region. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Finance and International Business from New York University (Leonard N. Stern School of Business) and a Master in Business Administration degree in Strategy & Operations from ALBA Graduate Business School (ACG).

Khalil Letayf

Ioannis Georgoulas is a certified board director with a specialization in banking from INSEAD and holds professional certifications in banking and green & sustainable finance from the Chartered Banker Institute. He has founded several companies in the fields of corporate communications and technology, and specializes in corporate governance, regulatory frameworks for financial services firms, and emerging technologies. He has served on the Board of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, appointed by the Council of Ministers. Askar Akhayev

Askar Akhayev is the Head of the Sanctions Compliance Division at Freedom Bank Kazakhstan. He has over 12 years of experience in law, banking, and consulting, including five years with KPMG. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the development and implementation of internal policies, led projects to improve compliance processes, and actively engaged with regulators. At Freedom Bank Kazakhstan, Askar took the initiative to establish a dedicated sanctions compliance function, substantiated its necessity, and was appointed to lead the newly formed team. Joseph Antoniou

Chief Risk Officer, Eurobank

Joseph was born in 1984. He graduated from the English School Nicosia and in 2006 obtained his B.Sc. degree in Economics, from the University College London (UCL). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an Executive master’s in Business Administration (Executive M.B.A.) from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Between 2007 and 2017 he worked in various Global Banking Institutions in London, after completing his qualification with Ernst & Young London, while working within their Investment Management Assurance practice. In 2010 he joined the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), as Manager in a variety of Group Strategy and Risk roles. At RBS, Joseph was heavily involved in the balance-sheet restructuring that underpinned the Bank’s financial and operational turnaround during that time, including work on the ringfencing of the Bank’s Retail activities, the divestment of ~300 branches and the Asset Protection Scheme. In 2014, Joseph joined HSBC, as a Senior Portfolio Manager, leading a plethora of de-risking activities with a focus in commercial banking and a mandate that span across the European region and immersed himself in key strategic and regulatory risk initiatives for HSBC Europe. In August 2017, he joined Hellenic Bank as Manager of Enterprise Risk Management & Governance. In April 2020, he was appointed as Interim Chief Risk Officer and in September 2020 was appointed as Chief Risk Officer, a position he now holds for Eurobank Ltd, following the legal merger. He was a core member of the deal team that negotiated the agreement for the acquisition of ex-CCB assets and liabilities but also heavily involved in other transactions (RCB, CNP etc).

Phivos N. Leontiou

Maria M. Kiteou

Maria M. Kiteou holds the position of Manager of the Operations Division at National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd, overseeing a broad range of banking activities including the International-Syndication Desk, Customer/Loans Administration, Cards, Payments, supporting the Bank’s strategic growth. Nicholas Mavrogenis

Born in 1969, he is a key player at Alpha Bank, contributing significantly to the success of the Organization. His educational background includes studying BΕng Electrical and Electronics Engineering and obtaining an MSc in Engineering and Physical Science in Medicine from Imperial College, University of London, showcasing a unique blend of technical knowledge and strategic insight. Joining Alpha Bank in 1994, he embarked on his professional journey as a dealer in the Treasury Division. His early responsibilities centered around managing the Bank’s foreign exchange and interest rate risk, displaying a keen understanding of financial intricacies. In 2000, his capabilities were recognized when appointed by the Managing Director to set up Alpha Finance Ltd as a Manager. In this pivotal role, he demonstrated leadership and organizational skills by supervising all aspects of the company. Transitioning to the Cards Division in 2004, he not only served as a Supervisor but also played a key role in establishing a new unit responsible for assessing all retail credit applications. His career within the organization continued to progress as he moved through various roles, ultimately becoming the Manager of the Division. Since 2011, he has held the significant position of General Manager of Operations and an executive member of the Board of Directors at Alpha Bank. In this capacity, he oversees critical operations divisions, including IT, organization, digital banking, MIS and planning, property, payments, and investment products operations. His role extends to formulating and implementing the business and IT strategy of the Bank, reflecting his comprehensive approach to contributing to Alpha Bank’s continued success.

Nikolas Anastasiou

Nikolas Anastasiou is the Director of Business Solutions and Services of Logicom Solutions, focusing in providing software solutions and advisory services around Digital Transformation, Data, Analytics and AI. Nikolas has also served as Head of Analytics and Digital of the Business Consulting Services of the company. Before joining Logicom Solutions, Nikolas has co-founded and served as Technology Director at Emergent Systems, specializing in providing analytics and business intelligence services in the financial sector. Nikolas holds BSc, MSc and PhD degrees, starting with mathematics and specializing in computing, from Imperial College London.
