Chrysostomos Kritiotis

Managing Director, Logicom Solutions

Chrysostomos Kritiotis is the Managing Director of Logicom Solutions, a company that provides end-to-end technology solutions and services spanning from strategic ideation and crafting of a digital vision to supporting organizations realize value through the right execution and implementation of technology projects. He joined Logicom Solutions in 2018 to help with the set-up of the digital advisory practice of the company, focusing on providing a complete set of services around Digital Transformation, Analytics and Cybersecurity. Previously, he served as the Country Lead for SAS in Cyprus and the Financial Services Lead for Bulgaria and Greece. Chrysostomos started his career in Citibank as a Risk Analyst and then moved to KPMG where he worked for the Financial Risk Management Department of the Firm. He holds a BA in Mathematics and Statistics from Macalester College in the US and an MSc in Operational Research from LSE in the UK.

 

Christodoulos Patsalides

Governor of Central Bank of Cyprus

Christodoulos Patsalides is a holder of a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics. He worked at the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) and then at Bank of Cyprus, where he reached the position of First Deputy CEO. He also served as Chairman of the Board of the Association of Cyprus Banks and of Artemis Credit Bureau. In October 2020 he exited Bank of Cyprus and provided advisory services. In March 2023 he was appointed as Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs. Since 11 April 2024, he is the CBC Governor and a member of the Governing Council of the ECB.

Martin Neisen

Martin Neisen oversees the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice at PwC Germany, which includes a team of 500 professionals focused on GRC matters for banks, insurance companies, and asset managers. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, he is regarded as an authority in regulatory compliance, risk management, and the implementation of global standards such as Basel IV. He also leads the SSM Office within PwC, coordinating collaboration with SSM-supervised banks across the Eurozone.

Dr. Michael Salmony

CEO, Payments Innovation Consulting

Dr Michael Salmony is an internationally recognised leader on strategy of business innovations in digital and financial services with a particular focus on Payments, Open Finance, FinTech, Digital Identity, B2B/e-Invoicing/SCF, AI for Financial Services and Electronic Money/CBDC/Stablecoins. He is board-level advisor to major international banks, industry associations, regulators, top consultancies, service providers and investors across the world. He regularly helps shape future directions in all key decision making bodies (e.g. European Commission/ European Parliament/ECB/CEPS Think-Tank in Europe, and central banks from Japan to Uruguay and Kazakhstan). For 10 years he served as Executive Adviser to the Board of Worldline Financial Services, helping to bring them from a local player to become the world’s 4th largest financial processor of transactional services, which handles over 17 trillion Euro per year. He also works with multiple regions where financial innovations are currently emerging – for example with the World Bank in Central Asia, as Board Member of Fintech Africa, as Advisory Board Member to Mastercard in Latin America, as strategic partner to FinTech Istanbul. His views are much in demand as keynote speaker at international events and he appears on TV/Radio/all electronic media on advances in finance and is quoted extensively (e.g. Financial Times, Harvard Business Manager, New Scientist, The Economist and governments from Ghana to Malaysia). He teaches at the Oxford Business School on “AI in Fintech and Open Banking” and at further universities such as in Australia, Turkey, Germany. He has published much own original work which has been translated into many languages including German, Italian, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Danish, Turkish, Russian, Chinese and Japanese and is cited in hundreds of publications around the world. He is extensively networked into the new financial services space and has one of the top most viewed profiles on business social media platforms. He is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers, Freeman of the City of London and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce FRSA. Previous positions include Director Business Development of leading national central bank (Bank of the Year, Best Innovator Award). Before entering the world of finance, he helped transform companies and business models in many industries as IBM’s Director of Market Development Media and Communications Technologies. He studied at the University of Cambridge UK and is married, with two millennial children.

Maria M. Kiteou

Operations Division Manager, National Bank of Greece (Cyprus)

Maria M. Kiteou holds the position of Manager of the Operations Division at National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd, overseeing a broad range of banking activities including the International-Syndication Desk, Customer/Loans Administration, Cards, Payments, supporting the Bank’s strategic growth. With over two decades of experience in financial services, she has played a pivotal role in establishing the Bank’s International Business Banking Units and expanding its Trade Finance activities.  Prior to joining NBG, Maria held senior positions at Barclays International for almost ten years, where she delivered a wide spectrum of services to international clientele mainly to UK, Eastern Europe, AFCARME, Saudi Arabia countries.

Nicholas Mavrogenis

Senior General Manager – COO, Alpha Bank

Born in 1969, he is a key player at Alpha Bank, contributing significantly to the success of the Organization. His educational background includes studying BΕng Electrical and Electronics Engineering and obtaining an MSc in Engineering and Physical Science in Medicine from Imperial College, University of London, showcasing a unique blend of technical knowledge and strategic insight. Joining Alpha Bank in 1994, he embarked on his professional journey as a dealer in the Treasury Division. His early responsibilities centered around managing the Bank’s foreign exchange and interest rate risk, displaying a keen understanding of financial intricacies. In 2000, his capabilities were recognized when appointed by the Managing Director to set up Alpha Finance Ltd as a Manager. In this pivotal role, he demonstrated leadership and organizational skills by supervising all aspects of the company. Transitioning to the Cards Division in 2004, he not only served as a Supervisor but also played a key role in establishing a new unit responsible for assessing all retail credit applications. His career within the organization continued to progress as he moved through various roles, ultimately becoming the Manager of the Division. Since 2011, he has held the significant position of General Manager of Operations and an executive member of the Board of Directors at Alpha Bank. In this capacity, he oversees critical operations divisions, including IT, organization, digital banking, MIS and planning, property, payments, and investment products operations. His role extends to formulating and implementing the business and IT strategy of the Bank, reflecting his comprehensive approach to contributing to Alpha Bank’s continued success.
