Christodoulos Patsalides is a holder of a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics. He worked at the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) and then at Bank of Cyprus, where he reached the position of First Deputy CEO. He also served as Chairman of the Board
of the Association of Cyprus Banks and of Artemis Credit Bureau. In October 2020 he exited Bank of Cyprus and provided advisory services. In March 2023 he was appointed as Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs. Since 11 April 2024, he is the CBC Governor and a member of the Governing Council of the ECB.
